2. Overview

The calculator runs locally in your browser and requires no account. Personal data may arise when the site is delivered, when optional audience measurement is enabled, or when you contact us.

3. Website delivery and server logs

The hosting or web server processes technically necessary access data, notably IP address, time, URL, status code, browser identifier and, where transmitted, referrer. This serves delivery, stability and attack detection. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are generally deleted within 14 days unless a security incident requires longer retention.

4. Optional audience measurement with Matomo

Matomo loads only after you consent to optional audience measurement. It may process IP address, device and browser data, visited pages and referrer. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; access to your device also requires consent under section 25 TDDDG. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn in the settings. Raw analytics data is deleted within 90 days.

5. Remembering your choice

Your selection is stored locally in your browser. This is necessary so the site can respect your decision. You can delete or change it at any time using the privacy settings.

6. Affiliate links

If labelled affiliate links are offered, affiliate tracking is used only with the relevant consent. Without consent, only direct non-tracking links may be used.

7. Contact

When you email us, we process the sender address, message and technical metadata to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Data is deleted once the request is complete unless statutory duties require retention.

8. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
